Fans of the movie The Princess Bride, based on the book by William Goldman, will know that mostly about Jet is not ALL about Jet – mostly about Jet is still slightly private.

My father is still very much alive.  I was born and raised in Canada and most of my relatives live there – people still hear something of the Canadian in my speech, even after 18 years.  Now I live in the Seattle area with my husband and teenage daughter, and a chocolate labrador who purrs. Writing is a huge part of my life.  I am the biggest word-geek I know, although the word-geek I married and the word-geek I birthed might challenge me on that.  When Bananagrams came out, my joy was luminous.  I hate Scrabble.  You’ll find more about my life as a writer here.

Photography is a creative passion for me.  Where writing is an internal, subjective experience, photography gets me out in my community and is a cooperative venture with my environment. I’m not at all sure what the above quote has to do with camera-work, it just makes me laugh.

Miracle Max: Sonny, true love is the greatest thing, in the world – except for a nice MLT – mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe.

Food is a central part of any celebration, and a delicious way to share with my family and friends. A while back, I flirted with a food blog, but the relationship didn’t go anywhere.  I hope to revive my food stories here and here.
